4th EU-Moldova Association Council, 3 May 2018

Summary:

The fourth meeting of the EU-Moldova Association Council was held on 3 May 2018. It took stock of the implementation of progress of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union, which entered into force in July 2016.

Further information:

The Council discussed cooperation in the area of justice, freedom and security. This includes judiciary reform, the visa-free regime, the fight against corruption, and money laundering. It also addressed progress made under the deep and comprehensive free trade area (DCFTA), as well as economic and sector cooperation between the EU and the Republic of Moldova.
