Summary:

A meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) was held on 19-20 October 2020. The agenda includes the following items:

• Adoption of general approach on CAP reform package;
• Adoption of conclusions on the Farm to Fork (F2F) strategy;
• Agreement on fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks in the Baltic Sea for 2021;
• Adoption of legislative initiative aimed at postponing the application of organic production and labelling of organic products;
• Briefing on a number of matters:
  • Visegrad Group declaration on CAP and MFF;
  • Call from several member states to postpone the date of application of the animal health law;
  • Declaration from several member states concerning derogations of hygiene rules for local activities of slaughtering and processing;
  • Declaration from several member states on the need to adopt additional measures in the beef and veal sector as a consequence of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) crisis.
