A meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council was held on 9 October 2017. The agenda includes the following items:

• Adoption of general approach regarding the fishing opportunities in the Baltic Sea for the forthcoming year;
• Exchange of views regarding EU position at the annual consultations with Norway in the framework of their bilateral fisheries agreement;
• Exchange of views regarding EU position at the annual meeting of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT);

• Under AoB, ministers were informed about:
  • Follow-up to the fipronil egg incident;
  • Financing of the EU minor use coordination facility;
  • Anti-dumping and anti-subsidy proceedings opened by the United States against Spanish black table olives;
  • Sustainable and deforestation-free supply chains;
  • Implementation of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
