Summary:

Communication adopted by the European Commission on 19 October 2020, setting out its annual work programme (CWP 2021).

Further information:

The Work Programme sets out the actions the Commission is meant to take throughout the year, aiming to turn the Political Guidelines made public by the President of the European Commission into tangible benefits for European citizens, businesses and society. It also follows Ms Von der Leyen's first State of the Union speech.

The 2021 Commission work programme sees a shift from strategy to delivery across all six political priorities. It confirms the Commission's resolve to lead the twin green and digital transition.

The CWP was discussed at the plenary of the European Parliament on 20 October 2020.
