ECB President: Hearing at the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee

The president of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi took in a hearing with the European Parliament's economic and monetary affairs committee on 15 February 2016.

Mr Draghi stated that the ECD had plenty of monetary policy instruments, and the leeway to use them if needed. He argued that the assets purchase programme was flexible enough to adapt to changing economies and markets.
