Eurogroup meeting, 16 May 2019

Summary:

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held on 16 May 2019. Once again it met in its regular format as well as in its inclusive format. The agenda includes the following items:

• Exchange of views on the economic situation of the Eurozone;
• Discussion on the main policy challenges on the basis of the European Commission's latest forecast;
• Discussion on the deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), focusing on revenue aspects and on an overview of all the features of the budgetary instrument for convergence and competitiveness for the Euro area and ERM II on a voluntary basis.
