Summary:

Report published by the European Parliament in February 2019 featuring the first seat projections concerning the forthcoming composition of the European Parliament following the election in May 2019.

Further information:

The data is based on a selection of polls conducted by national polling institutes in the Member States and aggregated by Kantar Public on behalf of the European Parliament. Parties were only allocated to existing political groups or where they were already affiliated to an associated European political party. All new political parties and movements, who had not yet declared their intentions were categorised as 'other'.

By projecting the voting preferences across the EU27 onto the distribution of seats in the European Parliament, the hemicycle stemming from the forthcoming European Parliament elections would reflect the most fragmented political landscape yet.
