Book abstract:

The European Yearbook aims to facilitate the scientific study of various international organisations and their work, providing information, in particular, about European organisations and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Over two large volumes, the books contain information on numerous complex areas and organisations. Volume one's documentary section, for example, details the Table of Members of European Organisations, along with work on the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the European Central Bank (ECB), and the Benelux Economic Union (BENELUX). It also deals with organisations as diverse as the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR), the Council of Europe in 1999 (C of E), the International Commission on Civil Status (ICCS), the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). In volume two, there is information on the Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), the OECD, the European Patent Office (EPO), and the Western European Union (WEU).

The book is intended for students, academics, policymakers, and anyone with an interest in this particular area of the European Union.
