First annual report on the European Regional Development Fund 1975

Summary:

The Council Regulation of 18 March 1975 establishing a European Regional Development Fund requires that:

1. Before 1 July each year the Commission shall present a report to the European Parliament and to the Council on the implementation of the Regulation during the preceding year.
2. This report shall also cover the financial management of the Fund and the conclusions drawn by the Commission for supervision of the Fund's operations.

The first report is accordingly presented by the Commission on the operation of the Fund during 1975, although for the convenience of the reader certain sections also refer to more recent events.
