Report of developments 18-19 August 2008 in the military conflict between Russia and Georgia over the disputed regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. There were conflicting reports as to the position of the Russian forces within Georgia. Foreign Ministes from NATO met in Brussels 19 August 2008 to discuss the crisis and to decide how NATO should react to Russia's actions.
