Russia halts missile plans for eastern Europe

Article reports that Russia has dropped plans to station cruise missiles on the territory of its European enclave in Kaliningrad, a military official was quoted as saying on the 28 January 2009. He cited signals from the US that it might not deploy an anti-ballistic missile system in eastern Europe.
