Team Europe – Council conclusions (23 April 2021)

Summary:

Set of conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union on 23 April 2021, concerning the commitment of Team Europe in tackling the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The conclusions were adopted via written procedure.

Team Europe consists of the European Union (EU), its Member States and their diplomatic networks, and financial institutions.

The conclusions reaffirm the commitment in addressing the health, social, economic, humanitarian, security and political impacts of the pandemic. The EU is seen to be showing leadership, responsibility and solidarity with those most affected by the coronavirus. As an example, Team Europe has remained at the forefront of global efforts to ensure international access to vaccines. The conclusions also call for an inclusive and environmentally friendly post-pandemic recovery.
