The EC Member States and immigration in 1993. Closed borders, stringent attitudes

The contributions from 12 independent correspondents, who make up the Information Network on Migration from Non EC Countries (RIMET in its French acronym), have for the third time running been synthesized into a summary report by Claude-Valentin Marie, with the support of the European Commission.

This report covers the evolution in the Member States for the year 1993. Summaries of the national reports, established by the correspondents themselves, are to be found in the Appendix.
