Turkey accused of stifling political critics

There are fears that probes by the government in Turkey into a network known as Ergenekon and an alleged military plot named Sledgehammer, are being used to stifle criticism of the AK party before elections later in 2011. In particular there is concern at attacks on press freedom in Turkey.
