Unilever chooses Rotterdam as its sole headquarters

Unilever's decision to choose Rotterdam over London as its sole headquarters was welcomed by the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Unilever's chief executive Paul Polman said the decision had nothing to do with Brexit and that the goal was merely to simplify the company's structures into a single legal entity.

In fact, the company is restructuring its business into three divisions with more autonomy and financial responsibility, two of which headquartered in London.On 15 March 2018 the Anglo-Dutch company Unilever decided to pick Rotterdam as its sole headquarters.
