Video conference of justice ministers, 2 December 2020

Summary:

EU Ministers responsible for matters relating to Justice held a videoconference on 2 December 2020. The agenda included the following items:

• Analysis of a report prepared by the Eurojust and Genocide Network on the cumulative prosecution of foreign terrorist fighters for core international crimes and terrorism-related offences;
• Exchange of views on rule of law developments in the field of justice, following up on the Rule of Law report presented by the European Commission;
• Briefing on the state of play concerning the proposed regulation on assignments of claims, based on a report prepared by the Council Presidency;
• Briefing by the European Commission on the state of play with regard to the implementation of the EPPO Regulation.
