Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 13 October 2014

A meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council took place on 13 October 2014. Its conclusions included the following items:

+ Political agreement on fishing opportunities for 2015 in the Baltic Sea, following the proposal from the European Commission;

+ Exchange of views on annual consultations between Norway and the European Union and on the ICCAT annual meeting;

+ Discussion on the impact and implications of the Russian ban on imports of agricultural products from the European Union;

+ Information on the situation regarding African Swine Fever (ASF) in the European Union;

+ Devate on the main elements of the contribution by the agricultural sector to the mid-term review of the Europe 2020;

+ Briefing on international agricultural trade issues.

+ Adoption of a regulation on promotion measures for agricultural products.
