Summary: Decision (CFSP) 2022/1285 - adopted by the Council of the European Union on 21 July 2022 - introducing amendments to Decision (CFSP) 2022/338 on an assistance measure under the European Peace Facility for the supply to the Ukrainian Armed Forces of military equipment, and platforms, designed to deliver lethal force. Further information: The European Peace Facility (EPF) is an off-budget instrument aimed at enhancing the European Union's ability to prevent conflicts, build peace and strengthen international security. It enables the financing of operational actions under the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) that have military or defence implications. Decision (CFSP) 2022/338 finances the provision of military equipment, and platforms, designed to deliver lethal forces to Ukraine in the context of Russia's invasion of this country. Additional support was introduced by Decision (CFSP) 2022/471, Decision (CFSP) 2022/636 and Decision (CFSP) 2022/809. This further amendment increases the financial reference by an additional €490 million. This Decision was adopted by the Council of the European Union on 21 July 2022 and published in the Official Journal on 22 July 2022. |
